Intercollegiate College of Nursing

Videoconferencing

Purpose

The College of Nursing is committed to the effective and efficient use of technology to further its mission and realize its strategic goals. The following priorities and procedures are established to maximize our limited network bandwidth and encourage and facilitate increased use of the videoconferencing technology.

All reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. The priority list will be used to resolve conflicting requests submitted at the same time.  Arrangements for use of IP videoconferencing equipment are made by completing the online Room and Videoconference Request form . The Media Tech Supervisor will coordinate room and network availability.  If support service for recording a videoconference or presentation is needed, please make arrangements directly with the Multimedia Laboratory Office.

The following priority order determines the status of a videoconference request in the event of a scheduling conflict.
· Clinical student supervision and advising.
· Academic courses.
· Relocated AMS courses.
· Training workshops and seminars.
· Small group meetings.

Requests from outside of the College of Nursing must be pre-approved by the Director, Information Technology Services - Academic & Research Technology.

Cancellation:

The conference requester must send a cancellation notice to the Media Tech Supervisor as soon as possible.
